Spotlight on Andrew Meadows | Consumer and Brand Ambassador

Favorite Food

Breakfast. Not only is it ok to eat most times of the day (love breakfast for dinner), but also contains a variety of sweet and savory. With the addition of coffee, juice, and the occasional bloody mary, it is indeed the most important meal of the day.

Favorite Book

It’s no mystery that I’m passionate about my career, but I’m also quite passionate about the illustrated story; aka comic books. My favorite of all time is Phonogram: The Singles Club. It mixes in some great storytelling, amazing style, and, my other favorite medium of expression, music.

Jump from a plane or scuba dive with sharks?

Jump from a plane…again!!!

If you had one super power, what would it be?

I’m pretty adventurous and would be even more so if I were invulnerable. I’d try any extreme sport, stunt or adventure. What’s the worst that could happen if you couldn’t be hurt, right?

Favorite Childhood Memory

Every weekend in the summer, my Mom would pack my sister and me in the car with a cooler full of Shasta, Tab, and peanut butter & jelly. We’d head for the beach and spend ALL DAY. No matter how much sand ended up in my trunks, it was always a good time.

What’s your favorite insect?

The ant. They are planners, have incomparable teamwork, and can lift 50 times their own weight. What’s not to like?

What name would you choose for your band?

I play this game all the time. If I hear an interesting grouping of words, I immediately think of a band name and the genre it would be. There was a great “band name” in the Thor movie, Sif and the Warriors Three, obviously a thrash metal super group.

What is the weirdest thing you have eaten?

My Grandmother is quite the consummate country chef as she was in charge of preparing the food my family would hunt. It was not uncommon for various game to be prepared. The oddest would probably have to be possum brains.

If you could instantly be an expert in anything, what would it be?

Aside from comic books and 401(k)s, I’d think a survivalist’s knowledge would be ideal. With 2012 around the corner, it’d be good information to know how to ultimately endure!

What do you want to do when you retire?

I’d imagine that my retirement would involve a small, one-bedroom place on the Outer Banks with a dog and my family around me. My days filled with sunshine and the beach, my nights with a loved one and bourbon.
