Spotlight on Lisa Chui | Director of Finance and Accounting

Favorite Food

It’s a toss-up between fried chicken and sushi, depending on the day and what mood I am in.

Favorite Book

Hmmm…tough question as I read all the time and I love books, especially epic fantasy that spans volumes! My favorite works of fiction are probably the Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin, the Harry Potter series and The Lord of the Rings (of course!). For non-fiction, I’ll have to go with the Bible. And I am also a sucker for Vampires so I like anything from Bram Stoker to Anne Rice to Twilight.

Jump from a plane or scuba dive with sharks?

I would never, never, never, NEVER jump from a plane, no matter what the scenario. Back in the day I was a competitive swimmer, so I’d take my chances with the sharks and hope that I could swim my way out of it.

If you had one super power, what would it be?

I would want the ability to alter time.

Favorite Childhood Memory

Going to Disney World for the first time with my parents. I think I was in second grade and it rained the whole time, but I didn’t care. I was so happy to be there!

What’s your favorite insect?

Butterflies are pretty!

What name would you choose for your band?

Expecto Patronum!

What is the weirdest thing you have eaten?

I was always curious as to what my pets were eating, so I have tried cat food, fish food and cow feed (from when I worked on a farm).

If you could instantly be an expert in anything, what would it be?

An Olympic sport, maybe figure skating or swimming, because I have always wanted to win a gold medal.

What do you want to do when you retire?

Buy a condo on The World, a giant cruise ship that just sails around the world. Then I would finally get to see all of the places that I have only read about.
