Spotlight on Matt Brown | Business Mananger

Favorite Food

No doubt about it: boiled crawfish. With enough Abita beer to wash it all down I can eat my weight in mudbugs. And whatever else might end up in the pot, cher!

Favorite Book

Stranger in a Strange Land. This amazing novel is about a human being that returns to Earth after a lifetime of being raised by Martians. His perspective of his fellow humans is at once, appreciative, awed, and free of judgment. It taught me not only a greater appreciation for myself but also for my fellow humans and the relationships we share.

Jump from a plane or scuba dive with sharks?

Sharks. Honestly I am so acrophobic that I would have chosen any option other than jump out of a plane. Jump out of a plane, or juggle lit dynamite? Hand me the matches…

If you had one super power, what would it be?

As much as I hate to admit it, I have considered this topic frequently. I have come to the conclusion that the best power would be a Wolverine-like cell-regenerative power, which assuming it had the same affects on diseases, would be tantamount to immortality.

Favorite Childhood Memory

Visiting the House on the Rock outside of Madison, Wisconsin built by an eccentric artist atop a column of rock overlooking a breathtakingly verdant dale. The house is the result of an inspired mind with stairwells built from the rock face, fully automated orchestras, and stunning art. To sweeten the experience, during his lifetime this artist collected collections, assembling more fascinating things in one place than I have ever seen in my lifetime, including the largest collection of carousel zoology in the world!

What’s your favorite insect?

Bees, not only do they work well together as a team but they also communicate through dance.

What name would you choose for your band?

Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem!

What is the weirdest thing you have eaten?

Braaaaaaaaiiiiiiiinnnnns! But they were good.

If you could instantly be an expert in anything, what would it be?

Quantum Physics, though it is a great passion of mine, I am afraid my understanding of the complexities of the fabric of our reality is conceptual at best.

What do you want to do when you retire?

My main desire for retirement is to travel to the exotic locales that I have yet to visit in my lifetime.
