Decimal To Launch Co-Branded Advisor 401(k) Web Sites

DEFINED CONTRIBUTION & SAVINGS PLAN ALERT
December 26, 2005

Decimal, also known as The Online 401(k), plans to launch a service offering financial advisors co-branded defined contribution Web sites. The sites will have customized mutual fund select lists, retirement planning tools, asset allocation models and the ability to facilitate proposals from plan sponsors.

The sites, also know as Decimal's partner hub project, are part of a larger effort to target the fee-based financial advisors and commission-driven independent registered representative markets, said Chad Parks, President and CEO. "We've had a solution for them [independent advisors] but we haven't had a full system to support them with marketing efforts," Parks said.

The partner hub project will offer basic co-branded Web sites in mid-January with asset lists for a one-time $500 start-up fee and a more customizable version with proprietary investment selection lists and unique copy describing the individual advisors' firm for $1,000, Parks said. The latter version includes customizable asset allocation models. Decimal's new advisor campaign also aims to buttress the partner hub program with a general information advisor Web site tentatively scheduled for launch in January. Decimal currently offers a bundled open-architecture 401(k) platform with Internet-based enrollment and reporting capabilities.
